This past week I've been cleaning out, repainting, reorganizing my room. It is now a color named "rust" and I quite like it. It's been fun to find old letters, things I thought I'd lost, etc. Not so much the dead bugs in unsuspecting places.
But each day that I'd be working in my room, I would just blast country radio the whole time. I don't listen to the radio much at school and so was rather dismayed when I found that there were country songs being played that *gasp* I had never even heard before. I know you all feel my pain.
Haha so i was catchin up on my country, ya kno? Unfortunately I started to realize how predictable and similar many of them were. Somehow this escaped my notice these past nine years. Still, I enjoyed it, and I was surprised at how freakin emotional they made me! Some country songs are real downers man. Maybe I was having an emo week, but i'd be all happy one minute and then the next minute "you can let go" starts playing and I get all weepy, no matter how cheesy it is. I thought this would last maybe a day or so. But no - every day I'd be crying from some country song.
I think this is just a weird phase though. The effects of country music deprivation for a long-time listener. =P
have a good weekend <3

I was kind of cleaning out my room today as I was unpacking, and I found a few of my old school ID cards. I can't find most of my high school cards, but here's what i got.
Alright, the first one's really embarrassing.
7th grade
Waahhh i'm so ugly!! This was pre-tweezer, obviously. Ahaha this was taken near the end of 6th grade, right after gym class. So i was all sweaty and disheveled, which didn't help.
8th grade
I had this horrid habit of tying my hair back into a really tiny tight bun and spraying on a helmet of hairspray. Rockin one of those shirts with the little lace-up bow thing.
10th grade
I actually forgot it was picture day, but I had no glasses and my hair was down, so there's an improvement =)
13th grade
took it myself, myspace-style. Go 'cuse

I love foood.
After ignorantly abusing my meal plan, I was left with no choice but to eat only one meal a day. (mon-wed). I eat a piece of fruit in the am, study, go to work from noon to 430. By that time my stomach is quite unhappy but has mellowed to a dull ache. I also have the worst headache imaginable. Working in catering doesn't help, seeing people dump trays of perfectly good cookies into the garbage. (usually i'd steal one, but i wasnt fast enough).
And so the food, glorious food that awaits me in my dining hall is all the more delicious, for it is my only meal of the day. Right after I eat, my headache disappears. kaput. gone. I never usually get headaches when im hungry, so i just found it weird. I also never thought I could survive off one meal a day since I eat so much...but its quite manageable. Not fun, but manageable.
Anyway. Only one more day of this left. Japanese art & design final tomorrow at 8am. Then I am officially done with freshman year. Crazies.

Made this about a week or so ago. Direct re-enactment of an early william wegman piece, so all credit goes to him. (hes the guy who later did those bits in sesame street with the dogs...who had people hands...and were kinda creepy)
anyway, i just wanted to see if it would work with my far more stupid dog <3

Every now and then, when I'm bored or mopey or at a dead end, I like to take a walk in the cemetery right by my dorm. Creepy? Not so much. I actually really love it there. It's so huge it just seems endless, and i can just walk and think and be alone. Sometimes I bring my camera.
